Inauguration of the Trèfle wind farm in Thézy-Glimont
On sunny 24 June 2025, 150 guests gathered in Thézy-Glimont to celebrate the inauguration of the Trèfle wind farm, Amiens Métropole's only wind farm.

The Trèfle wind farm, which is due to be commissioned at the end of 2024, consists of three Vestas V117 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 10.8 MW. Each year, the farm will produce 25.1 GWh of green electricity, which is enough to power 10,800 households (excluding heating) and cover 14% of the Greater Amiens area's electricity needs.
The festive inauguration & educational event
The event began with a performance by the Super5 Orkestar brass band, followed by official speeches from Patrick Desseaux (Mayor of Thézy-Glimont) and Roy Mahfouz (President and founder of H2air).

Visitors were then able to enjoy educational tours of a wind turbine and discover association stands, including those of the beekeepers and the Thézy-Golic festival. They could also take part in family activities.
Participants included elected representatives from several partner municipalities, such as Miraumont, L'Échelle-Saint-Aurin, Gentelles and La Vallée au Blé. Thomas Hutin, a regional councillor for the Hauts-de-France region, and Frédéric Fauvet, a councillor for the Somme department, were also present.
A project rooted in the region
The construction of the Trèfle wind farm involved six regional companies, generating local economic spin-offs. The municipality received an initial contribution of €200,000, including €60,000 for renovating the house on the banks of the Avre, and now receives €13,500 a year through road agreements. Environmental measures have also been introduced, including hedge planting, a fruit tree exchange, and support for local associations.
